Where Will Mbappe Play? Ancelotti: Relax, The Field Is Wide

Zidscore.com-Carlo Ancelotti has shown his composure in deciding Kylian Mbappe's place in the Real Madrid team for the 2024/25 season. Los Blancos have completed a free transfer deal to sign the France captain ahead of Euro 2024, after months of speculation over his future.

Mbappe was officially presented as a Real Madrid player before leaving for his summer break until the end of the month. While Ancelotti is still finalising his squad plans for the pre-season tour of the United States, Mbappe is likely to be rested for the trip.

The veteran Italian coach faces a crucial decision over how to integrate Mbappe into an attack that won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League last season. Jude Bellingham scored 19 league goals, while Vinicius Junior added 15. Vinicius, who plays on the left in Mbappe's preferred position, will be one of the challenges for Ancelotti.

Mbappe's Tactics and Position in the Team

Ancelotti stressed that the key to Mbappe’s positioning is not just about finding a place for him, but also ensuring tactical harmony up front. In an interview on the John Obi Mikel podcast, Ancelotti explained that Mbappe will be deployed in a forward position, with a focus on the player’s mobility.

“Our attack is very wide, the pitch is 68 metres, and we have to cover that. The key is the player’s mobility, sometimes Mbappe will play on the left, sometimes in the middle,” Ancelotti said. He also noted that Vinicius was often moved from the left wing into more central areas during the season.

With Mbappe not involved in pre-season action for Los Blancos, he is expected to make his debut in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta on August 14. Ancelotti and his coaching staff will continue to assess how Mbappe can adapt to the team’s strategy and how to maximise his contribution to a team that has enjoyed great success in the past season.

Zidscore.com-The England national team is confirmed to be without a head coach at this time. The reason is that Gareth Southgate has decided to resign from his position.

This certainty was conveyed by the English football federation, FA, some time ago. They confirmed that Southgate had resigned from his position after England lost in the Euro 2024 Final.

In their official statement, the FA has not yet determined who will replace Southgate. However, there are several names that are reported to have caught the attention of the FA to become the new manager of The Three Lions.

Who are they? Read more below.

Jurgen Klopp

The first coach targeted by the FA to become the new England manager is Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp has almost nine years of coaching experience in England. He managed to transform Liverpool into a successful team and won many championship trophies.

Having an attractive playing style makes Klopp considered to be the new England manager. Coincidentally, Klopp is also currently unemployed after resigning from Liverpool coach.

Thomas Tuchel

The next candidate for the new England national team coach is Thomas Tuchel.

The German coach also has a good track record. He managed to bring Chelsea to win the Champions League trophy a few years ago.

Tuchel is also currently without a club, so the FA is reportedly interested in hiring him this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino

Former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is also reportedly on the FA's radar as a candidate for the new England manager.

The Argentine has a wealth of experience in England. He has coached Southampton, Tottenham and Chelsea, where he has a good record at all three clubs.

Pochettino is currently unemployed after leaving Chelsea, so he is reportedly quite interested in taking the job.

Eddie Howe

The next candidate for England coach is Eddie Howe.

Howe himself can be said to be one of the rising young coaches in England. He showed his skill in concocting tactics with Bournemouth and Newcastle.

However, the coach is reportedly still committed to handling The Magpies, so he is unlikely to want to take this job.

Pep Guardiola

One of the FA's dream targets to replace Gareth Southgate is none other than Pep Guardiola.

The Manchester City manager has proven to be one of the best coaches in the world today. He has succeeded in making City a superpower team in England and also in Europe.

Pep has been confirmed not to extend his contract at City which expires in 2025. That is why the FA will try to persuade Pep to handle the England National Team.

Lee Carsley

England

One of the strongest candidates to become the new England national team coach is Lee Carsley.

Carsley is the coach of the England U-21 national team. In 2023, he successfully led the young lions to win the Euro U-21 championship.

With his achievements, the former Irish national team player is reportedly one of the strongest candidates for this job.

Graham Potter

Graham Potter's name is currently the strongest candidate for the position of new England National Team manager.

The FA is reportedly impressed with the coach's abilities. Because when coaching Brighton, he was able to make The Seagulls perform brilliantly and he was also able to polish young players.

Potter himself is also currently unemployed, and he is reportedly very enthusiastic if offered the opportunity to handle the England National Team. (*)

No Need to Look for Excuses, MU Lost in Preseason and Deserves Criticism!

Manchester United Squad (MUFC Official)

Zidscore.com-Erik ten Hag does not want to protect Manchester United players after suffering a humiliating defeat in the first pre-season match. Although the players are not fully fit, a team of MU's level should still be able to win.

Monday, June 15, 2024 evening WIB, MU began their pre-season tour to Norway. They faced Rosenborg at Lerkendal Stadion, Trondheim.

Ten Hag fielded more young players in this match, although there were still some senior players such as Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Unfortunately, MU allowed their opponents to play more dominantly throughout the match, until finally Noah Holm scored the home team's winning goal in the 90+3 minute.

United's Standards Must Be Higher

It is true that results are not usually considered as important in pre-season games. However, Ten Hag is not willing to let this defeat pass him by.

United's players may not have reached the required level of 'match-fit', but they should not have lost to a team like Rosenborg.

"In top-level football, you have to reach a higher standard. That starts with each individual, they have to make sure they are fit," said Ten Hag.

"I know the players are not match fit at the moment, that's why pre-season games are needed. I know we are facing opponents in the league who are at a higher level of fitness."

"But we are still Manchester United, and the players, the United team have to give a better performance," he added.

MU Goalkeeper Stands Out

Not all MU players performed badly. This match was an opportunity for young goalkeeper Radek Vitek who got the chance to make some saves.

"Let's just say he got the chance from the team to make some important saves, because our performance as a team so far has not been good enough," concluded Ten Hag.

Chelsea Asked to Recruit Granit Xhaka to Win Premier League

Zidscore.com- Frank Leboeuf believes his former club Chelsea should try to lure Granit Xhaka back to the Premier League and sign the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder this summer.

It would certainly come as a surprise to Blues fans, with the Swiss international making almost 300 appearances for Arsenal between 2016 and 2023.

Xhaka left the Emirates Stadium for Germany last year and enjoyed a superb season under Xabi Alonso, winning the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal.

Leboeuf feels the 31-year-old would be the perfect fit for Chelsea's midfield and they should move for Xhaka in this transfer window.

Calls on Chelsea to Sign Xhaka Immediately

Nothing is suggesting the move will happen, but the French legend is desperate for Chelsea to do so.

"I tell you, the player Chelsea should sign is Granit Xhaka. He's been very impressive and I think Chelsea should have signed him when he left Arsenal," Lebouef said.

Brilliant at Euro

In addition to his impressive performance with Leverkusen last season, Xhaka also performed spartan with the Swiss National Team at Euro 2024. The player is the driving force of the attack and was able to lead his country to the last 8.

"He was phenomenal for Switzerland at the Euros and he was also the Player of the Season for Leverkusen, he fits perfectly with Chelsea, especially in midfield with Enzo and Caicedo," continued Lebouef.

"He could be the missing piece of the puzzle for them."

Lebouef's advice

The Blues are also likely to look for a new striker this summer, with Napoli star Victor Osimhen a target, but Lebouef has suggested other options.

"I really like Victor Osimhen and I think he would be a great striker and perfect for Chelsea," said Lebouef.

"I know he had some problems last season but he can take on opponents and is a natural goalscorer.

"But Chelsea should look to Lens and Lille for a cheaper striker. Jonathan David and Lois Openda have been fantastic in Ligue 1 for years and they don't cost much."

Mikel Oyarzabal's winning goal against England was Spain's 15th goal at Euro 2024. With 15 goals, Spain broke France's previous record of 14 goals at Euro 1984.

Platini himself finished as the top scorer at Euro 1984 with nine goals.
