In their official statement, the FA has not yet determined who will replace Southgate. However, there are several names that are reported to have caught the attention of the FA to become the new manager of The Three Lions.

The first coach targeted by the FA to become the new England manager is Jurgen Klopp.

The next candidate for England coach is Eddie Howe.

Howe himself can be said to be one of the rising young coaches in England. He showed his skill in concocting tactics with Bournemouth and Newcastle.

However, the coach is reportedly still committed to handling The Magpies, so he is unlikely to want to take this job.

One of the FA's dream targets to replace Gareth Southgate is none other than Pep Guardiola.

The Manchester City manager has proven to be one of the best coaches in the world today. He has succeeded in making City a superpower team in England and also in Europe.

Pep has been confirmed not to extend his contract at City which expires in 2025. That is why the FA will try to persuade Pep to handle the England National Team.

Lee Carsley

England

One of the strongest candidates to become the new England national team coach is Lee Carsley.

Carsley is the coach of the England U-21 national team. In 2023, he successfully led the young lions to win the Euro U-21 championship.

With his achievements, the former Irish national team player is reportedly one of the strongest candidates for this job.

The FA is reportedly impressed with the coach's abilities. Because when coaching Brighton, he was able to make The Seagulls perform brilliantly and he was also able to polish young players.
